“Tonight we have an excellent screenprint by the notorious Chuck Sperry – Rock Art Illustration . Chuck draws, designs, and prints all of his posters using rich, oil based inks and layering for maximum texture and impact. Tonight we get to see his recurring Evil Masonic Zombie character, a scythe, an hourglass and the three wise kittens.” – Primus

The third in a series of four screen-prints from renowned artist Chuck Sperry celebrating Jerry’s life and legacy. Each print is signed & numbered by the artist in an edition of 500.
“My third print in my portrait series, “Jerry Garcia (Autumn)”, seeks to capture the wisdom and compassion of the Grateful Dead’s lead guitarist. Jerry anchored the concert hall with his good nature, while a wild, free improvisation swirled through him and around him. I wove a psychedelic paisley pattern throughout the design rendered in nine colors, including bright hues, hand-blended metallics and translucent glazes. My aim is to portray the elder Jerry, the mature artist with a child-like wonder tempered by “A Touch of Grey.” In a decade that dealt many challenges, Jerry’s determined belief “I will get by, I will survive” inspired his greatest moments of clarity and energy.” – Chuck Sperry

Conscious Alliance: 5000 lbs of Food Donations with Sperry Poster Project!
I am very proud and grateful that my Conscious Alliance poster for The String Cheese Incident at Red Rocks was a major success in celebration of Conscious Alliance’s 15th Anniversary. We were able to collect an incredible outpouring of 5000 lbs in food donations through the distribution of my poster.
Conscious Alliance will be delivering this food, your loving heart-and-soul donations, to the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota on Wednesday. Immediate relief will be given to a very deserving community – the great Oglala Sioux people – with all your help and I thank you!
Both Conscious Alliance and The String Cheese Incident were knocked out by the demand for my poster. Conscious Alliance has not seen anything like it in their 15 years of service. There were 100 people in line before Conscious Alliance opened, all three days, and posters sold out in 20 minutes three days in a row. It’s gratifying to harness beautiful, positive fan energy to make a difference in the world!
I want to thank each and every one of you who showed up early, brought food or donated to Conscious Alliance and received one of my intricate 7 color posters for the show. I put my faith, energy and dedication into this worthy project for Conscious Alliance, and we were able to make good things happen for their incredibly cool cause.
Thanks for your support!
