Sperry Featured Artist at Surf Music Fest in Italy

I’m happy to announce that I’ll be the featured artist at the Surfer Joe Summer Festival 2023 for the 15th Edition of the largest gathering of surf music fans in the world. Surfer Joe is a 4-day immersion into the world of instrumental surf music with an intense program of concerts, seminars and various attractions, all happening mere steps away from the Mediterranean Sea along the beautiful coast of Tuscany.

For his upcoming feature at the Surfer Joe Festival, Chuck will be showing affordable and accessible Old School posters, and surprises. You will find posters popular with rockers: Joe Strummer, The Who, Jello Biafra, Mudhoney, Queens of the Stone Age, Melvins, Rancid, Anthrax, Danzig, Devo, Black Sabbath, Tease-o-rama, Tiki Art, and other classics from Sperry’s archive.

In addition, Chuck will be presenting his 750 page, career spanning book, “Color x Color, The Sperry Poster Archive 1980-2020” an extensive collection of his world-famous rock posters.

Sperry at Schneider Museum of Art through April 2023

I’m honored to be exhibiting some pieces at The Schneider Museum of Art.

Pushing the Press: Contemporary Printers Redefining the Medium
January 19 – April 29

(Opening: Thursday, Jan 19, 5 pm – 7 pm)
Schneider Museum of Art
555 Indiana Street
Ashland, Oregon

If you find yourself in southern Oregon this month, pop by this exhibition organized by curator Josef Zimmerman. Featuring works by Bill Fick, Kathryn Polk, Dennis McNett, Electric Calavera, Chuck Sperry, Crystal Wagner, Ravi Zupa and other master print artists, Pushing the Press: Contemporary Printers Redefining the Medium looks closely at what makes printmaking so powerful—it’s an ancient medium (the earliest woodblock print dates to 800 CE!), yet it continuously evolves.

Curated by: Josef Zimmerman

Artists: Bill Fick, Carlos Hernandez, Tom Huck, Dennis McNett, Morning Breath, Inc., Kathryn Polk, Sean Starwars, Chuck Sperry, Crystal Wagner, Ericka Walker, Ravi Zupa

The Sperry Collectible Card Set • Series 1

I’m very excited to announce the first in a series of premium collectible card sets featuring a curated selection of the most popular rock posters and prints from my extensive archive.

The Sperry Collectible Card Set was artfully designed by renown art photographer and premium book designer Shaun Roberts, and it was edited by us both. We are thrilled to present this newest collaboration!

The set comes in a gorgeous fire red, smooth, sturdy portfolio fold box with a secure magnetic snap closure. Title and signature is in gold emboss. The inside cover is gloss printed with a beautiful floral pattern over red, as is the black bumper which snugly cradles the deck of poster cards. A red ribbon aids access to the sealed deck of 25 cards.

The cards measure 5.5″ x 8.5″. Each of the 25 collectable cards faithfully present a different classic Sperry poster on the front. On the back of each card are the poster details; surrounding floral decoration is printed in gold and black with a foil stamped signature.

The box comes shrink-wrapped. The cards come cellophane wrapped inside.

Only 1000 were made.

Sold Out. Thank You!

A live release will follow at TRPS Festival of Posters at the Hall of Flowers in San Francisco on October 15.
