Band of Horses, Paradiso, Amsterdam

Band of Horses will play the Paradiso in Amsterdam on Wednesday, February 23, 2011. Since this poster is Ideal Posters Series Number 69, I went with the Spirit of 1969, a year of change and generational revolt – like 2011. The figure in the poster stands transfixed in ecstasy and is washed in the light thrown on her in amoebic forms of liquid light. She stands mesmerized in the interval between microcosm and macrocosm. I made a regular edition of 125 on cream paper and three variant editions listed below.

Stockholm Syndrome at The Independent, SF

Stockholm Syndrome plays two nights at The Independent, San Francisco on February 18 and 19, 2011. Dropped the posters off with the band during soundcheck yesterday, and rapped out with neighborhood genius and guitar legend Eric McFadden and the legendary Dave Schools of Widespread Panic fame. A couple people asked me if this image is Patty Hearst – nope – it’s Bratty Hearst – Patty’s sexier little sister. Can’t wait to see Stockholm Syndrome tonight!
