“Chuck Sperry: Exposed!” Art Show in Torino Italy October 31

“Chuck Sperry: Exposed!”
Opens Friday, October 31, 2025 at Ridicola an urban art gallery located in the heart of Torino, Italy. Opening party featuring: DJ Giampo! Show on view through November 2025.

I’ll be releasing two brand new, large format art prints in limited edition — “Courage” & “Empathy” — printed in red-orange-yellow tones by Sericraft of Torino. These two prints will see their American release at Context, Miami Art Week during Art Basel Miami 2025 at Harman Projects’ booth.

Also: I’ve created a special edition “Ridicola” magazine of 60 pages, filled with two extensive photo stories by Shaun Roberts documenting the artist at work inside Hangar 18, my California studio. The cover parodies Italian news magazines of the 1960s.

Ridicola is located at the heart of Torino, a former newsstand transformed into a vibrant exhibition space: a new hub for meeting, sharing, and art exhibitions. The small kiosk, closed for years, is reborn in a new form: an urban art gallery accessible 24/7, with a never-closing window and a curated selection of independent magazines and fanzines.

I am honored to be working with Pearl Jam, one of my generation’s most creative, pioneering rock groups. For their Miami, South Florida appearance, I created a beautiful mermaid in a old school rock poster tattoo style, holding a “PJ” trident in one hand and a mysterious, glowing “impossible shape,” a forth dimensional triangle, to suggest the mystery of nature in the other hand. I hand screen printed this with hand-mixed gold inks, and translucent color layers, for an effect that glows.
