I am honored to have been asked to create a poster for RATIFIED, a documentary film directed by Deborah Riley Draper and Sabaah Folayan currently premiering across the United States, and soon to be shown nationally on PBS. My poster was available at the San Francisco screening I organized, hosted by Spoke Art at the Roxie Theater. My limited edition, screen printed RATIFIED poster is now available online to my friends and supporters by EQL launch.

RATIFIED is a feature documentary about the 100-year struggle for constitutional gender equality, an inspiring story of a multi-racial, multi-generational, bi-partisan effort to make Virginia the 38th and final state to ratify the Equal Rights Amendment.  It’s also a story of how bureaucracy is used to stifle progress, and it takes a close look at the incredible perseverance of women – specifically, the Black women leaders who have taken their rightful place at the front of the movement for gender equality. Our impact campaign will activate 15,000,000 Americans on the issue of gender equality. 

A portion of money raised from the sale of my RATIFIED poster goes to Vote Equality to support the urgent effort to publish the ERA.

I will make a limited online launch of my RATIFIED poster through EQL opening on Friday, November 15, 2024 at 9 am PST. The launch closes on Sunday, November 17, 2024 at 9 pm PST. The ballot will be open for 60 hours. As long as you enter during this timeframe, time of entry does not impact your chances of purchase. There will be one live launch for the “RATIFIED” poster. VOTE EQUALITY’S ERA ACTION IN DC

We have less than 70 days to demand publication of the 28th Amendment (Equal Rights). The Equal Rights Amendment, now our 28th Amendment, has met all constitutional requirements, according to the American Bar Association. President Biden has one last chance to stand for the equity and equality this amendment would provide all Americans, especially women and the LGBTQIA+ community. President Biden simply has to tell the Archivist to PUBLISH EQUALITY in the Constitution. Join us and activate.

Chuck Sperry’s Gary Clark Jr Poster Release with EQL

Concert goers were treated to a very special evening of Gary Clark Jr.’s virtuosic, soulful musicianship at the illustrious Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, California on Wednesday. I was inspired to create Mr. Clark’s portrait for the poster, basing my stylized likeness on a gorgeous photo by Frank Maddocks, and seizing the opportunity to weave my signature floral patterns in gold, copper, and rich earth tones throughout.

I will make a limited online launch of my Gary Clark Jr. poster and its variants through EQL opening on Friday, August 23, 2024 at 6 pm PST. The launch closes on Monday, August 26, 2024 at 6 pm PST. The ballot will be open for 72 hours. As long as you enter during this timeframe, time of entry does not impact your chances of purchase.

Anyone who has listened to a Gary Clark Jr. album or watched the four-time Grammy Award winner perform live knows that he’s a gifted multi-instrumentalist, songwriter and performer. And never more so than on his last album, 2019’s illuminating This Land. But while This Land signaled a breakthrough in displaying his musical versatility beyond the blues, his latest album, JPEG RAW, represents a quantum leap.

As he prepares now for the release of JPEG RAW, what does Clark want listeners to take away from his forthcoming album? “Breathe,” he urges. “Then go outside and listen to the birds as you look up at the sky. Appreciate the things you do have. Hopefully, the album resonates with positivity and hope. It’s really not about me, so take me out of the equation. This is yours now.”

Inspired by our human impulse to create, Chuck Sperry’s solo exhibition Only Human at L’Oeil Ouvert Gallery underscores what it means to be a maker in the 21st century. The exhibition spans Sperry’s long and influential career, featuring new silkscreen prints from the artist’s ongoing “Muse” series and rare works from his archive. Straddling fine art, entertainment, and craftsmanship, Sperry believes being “only” human is something extraordinary.

Please join us on Saturday, June 1 from 18h to 22h at 1 rue Lucien Sampaix in Paris 75010 for the opening of Only Human. The artist will be in attendance.

Pneuma is the word ancient greek philosophers used for spirit or soul. Also meaning breath or life-force, it’s the perfect name for the signature art piece of my ongoing New York solo art show: Only Human at Harman Projects, 210 Rivington Street, running until May 4.
