I’m very happy to announce, my Third Annual Open House at Hangar 18 Studio Gallery on Friday, July 15 from 12 noon to 6 pm.
I won’t be revealing my Widespread Panic, Fox Theater, Oakland 2016 poster just yet. That’s a surprise reserved for the band at the concert!
Let’s get together for a celebration! I’d love to welcome the Widespread Panic family to Oakland, California and give everyone a warm welcome to the my studio. This is a great opportunity to visit the print studio that gave birth to some of your favorite posters for your favorite band. I’ll be making a Widespread Panic art show, an exclusive showing of my art prints on oak panel, with some special prints, rarities, and surprises available!
We will be giving people random numbers at the door at 11 am, so overnight camping is not encouraged.

I am very proud to announce my invited guest curator, Shakedown Gallery, at Hangar 18 Studio/Gallery. Shakedown will present a blotter art exhibition at my Hangar 18 “Don’t Panic” Open House. The display will be partially historical retrospective and partially focused on new artist release editions.
In honor of the occasion, Shakedown Gallery will be releasing five blotter art prints of five classic Chuck Sperry designs.
Chuck Sperry’s “Orange Sunshine” design is from the “Signs of Change, Art of the Firehouse” show at Varnish Fine Art in San Francisco an early 2009 release that seemed ready made for blotter art.
Made especially for the Don’t Panic show, Chuck will also be releasing his “I’d Love To Turn You On” Beatle Blotter set.
Each blotter print will be a limited edition of 100 pieces, signed and numbered by the artist.
The designs are printed on 80# unbleached cotton with vegetable based inks with 1/4″ perforations. They’re available individually or as sets with matching numbers.
There will also be APs of each design and a small number of prints from the numbered edition will be held back for later release on shakedowngallery.com.
