I’m really happy to report that my American Artifact poster won Expresso Beans Poster of the Week.

Congratulations to Aaron Horkey and Emek for winning 2009 Poster of the Year for their combined effort. I’ve come a long way in one year. I feel that the number two spot for my Widespread Panic poster reflects a positive change. I’ll keep kicking out the cool posters you just have to have for 2010.

I was working late last night finishing two posters for the Friday and Saturday concerts at the Warfield featuring Gov’t Mule; Dave Hunter and I each designed a poster and printed them together as a two-up (more news on that poster soon!). That’s when I got the news that my Phoenix Poster had won Expresso Beans Poster of the Week.

Dave was taking photos of the Gov’t Mule two-up poster with his iphone to send a progress report to Ron Donovan who is out in Hawaii on a family visit. Dave suddenly got a text message from George Gamboa and said, “Dude! Phoenix just got Poster of the Week.”

While I was on my August vacation in the great American Southwest, my English Beat, Reel Big Fish poster won Expresso Beans Poster of the Week. 

I called my friend George Gamboa pool-side from the Motel 6 in Hurricane, Utah – along the way in my adventure -  just to get a “Firehouse Progress Report.” George told me I got POTW. Of course I couldn’t see for myself until today. Two Posters of The Week in one month – I’m really happy. Thanks everyone! 

That’s a very nice welcome home. I’ll post some pictures soon and update y’all on my adventures. Me and my girlfriend Nancy had a great trip!
